Tessella awarded with highest accreditation level in Best Companies to Work For

Analytics specialist receives recognition for the sixth year running, defying industry trends

Tuesday 14th February, 2017 – Tessella, Altran’s World Class Centre for Analytics, has been awarded 3 Star accreditation score by the Best Companies to Work For 2017, the highest level achievable by an organisation.

The annual programme highlights the best British employers based on information from surveying staff within the companies put forward. This is the sixth year in a row that Tessella has been recognised by Best Companies to Work For, and the first time that the organisation has received the 3 Star (“Extraordinary”) accreditation, having been accredited at 2 Star (“Outstanding”) level in previous years.

Best Companies has been producing the standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Accreditation is based on measuring staff satisfaction and workplace engagement, considering these as integral components of an organisation’s success and growth.

The result has also defied UK-wide employee satisfaction trends, with a recent survey from the Chartered Institute of Personal Development finding that job satisfaction reached a two-year low in the country in 2016.

The announcement comes during a time of positive change for Tessella, which was acquired by technology and engineering consultancy Altran at the end of 2015. Last year Tessella welcomed two new sector directors including Derek Greer, Government, Space & Defence Sector Director, and Ray Hall, Energy Sector Director. In addition, Tessella Analytics Partnership has won several new blue chip customers in the last few months.
